The Hoover (Ice) Dam

Our attic and bathroom dormer were essentially uninsulated. We were losing so much heat out through our roof that icicles and ice dams were forming everywhere, including on the siding. Every time it snowed outside, it rained inside the bathroom.

Last week we had an Icynene contractor come and spray foam insulation. Meredith and I swear we can already tell that the house feels warmer! He did the basement rim joist, too, but those pictures aren't as "glamorous."
